JNFuture Family brings Israel to Arizona
On Sunday, March 10, Jewish National Fund of Arizona (JNF) will host a special family-friendly event to introduce young families to the work that JNF does in Israel.
The event (JNFuture Family Fun in the Park) will be held from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale. Enjoy a morning meeting other young families and connecting your kids to the land of Israel through activities such as petting zoo, seed planting, and more! Parents will be able to learn more about JNF’s upcoming local events in Arizona as well as missions to Israel and opportunities to become involved.
The activities are geared toward kids ages 0-6 and if you register early for this free event, you will have the opportunity to win train and carousel tickets for the whole family.
My husband, Eldad, and I believe that it is not only important to focus on Jewish education with young kids, but to make sure we educate them about Israel. When children grow up knowing about the history, culture and people of our Jewish homeland, they are more likely to grow up with a strong passion and respect for Israel and Judaism.
Our family has had the privilege of visiting Israel many times over the past several years and exploring the parks, visitor centers, playgrounds that JNF helps to build and keep running has become one of our favorite activities. During our most recent trip, in fact, we stayed at a home in Akko that was across the street from a beautiful park and botanical garden that JNF Canada helped to fund.
We can’t wait to learn more about the great work JNF is doing and how we can get involved. Hope to see you there!
