Exodus 2019

What better way to get in the spirit of Passover than to recreate the Exodus with fellow community members at a fun and free outdoor event? Well, for the fourth year in a row, local community members will be coming together to do just that.

This coming Saturday, April 13, at 3:30 p.m., join the community at Dreamy Draw Recreation Area (2421 E. Northern Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85020) for a hike and potluck dinner. Come dressed up as biblical characters and bring your best head scarfs and walking sticks to get in the spirit of Passover.

Things will kick off at 3:30 p.m. when people will gather and begin dressing up followed by kids activities and a short storytelling where Pharaoh and Moses will negotiate. At 4:30 p.m., the short, stroller-friendly hike will begin and everyone will join together for a festive pot-luck dinner to celebrate.

All are welcome and everyone is asked to bring a dish to share. More details can be found on the Facebook event page here. And even though this event is free, RSVPs are encouraged so the hosts can prepare accordingly.
